Default Basic cable question

Anyone who has been doing this as long as I have should know this, but I don’t.

My wife and I have a last-minute outdoor gig this Sunday. We will use our Acus onefor strings 8 acoustic amp. I’m about 95% that we need more sound then it will give us. I have a QSC CP8 powered speaker.

Can I use a microphone cable to go from the XLR output in the amplifier to the XLR input in the CP8? in other words, is there a difference between an XLR cable for amplifier output as compared to the XLR cable used for a microphone?

Thank you.
