Default Carl Miner's TNAG Gibson 1930 L1 tune

I'm still working my way through my favourite carl tunes, still trying to improve my picking. This one tricked me into thinking it would be easy. It wasn't! But I do love this one.

Anyway, I've got many more to keep working at -- the list keeps growing.

Well done, and ya, it's not an easy piece.

Dang, that was so good. Reminded me of a dark lounge on a summer’s day. Loved all of it, but the seventh chord ending made me smile.

You played that very well and not easy at all.

Come to B.I.G. this fall and you can ask Carl himself for tips and take his workshop on picking. That would be pretty cool for you if you are a big admirer of his music. He will be hanging out all weekend.

Thanks! I learn something each time I play one of his pieces. I've never played a seventh chord with a sharp 5th before! Annoyingly I mess that part up slightly, ah well.

Thanks - not easy is right!

Thx - it's a great tune. When my brother plays bass along with this, he never remembers the seventh at the end. It sounds so satisfying

Thanks! It's possible I'll be in the US later this year, but I doubt the timing would match. Is BIG in San Antonio?

Very nice song, and the guitar sounds great.
Very skilled and good picking technique.
Thanks for sharing this recording.

Awesome my friend. Never heard that tune before. Quite a challenge no doubt but you glided through! Best! Dennis

ugh - that *almost* fits in with my travel schedule, but I don't think I can make it. (not that I'll be anywhere near TX, but sometimes I can swing flights in my favour).

Thanks Rene! Some days the picking almost feels natural. Other days it's back to the drawing board.

Thanks Dennis - one of Carl's tunes that, as soon as I heard it, I put straight into my 'to learn' bucket!
