I always loved that show. We even named my oldest daughter Olivia after Mrs Walton.

I seem to remember that Jason was quite a musician; I think there were also episodes featuring him playing piano.

Jon Walmsley, the actor who played Jason Walton, has quite an impressive musical C.V. -

Yes, he does really play. They were running a Walton marathon here this weekend and I saw him playing that little guitar and it did have a Martin sticker on it so I did a little research. I think Sting is playing one of those these days too.

Yes, he does and quite well. Find a copy of Primal Twang, the concert DVD hosted by Dan Crary. He played in the "house band".

See him if you have a chance.

I always wanted to know how a poor rural guy in the Depression could AFFORD a Martin (even if it was before inflation)!

Ike Godsey ordered it for him and let him pay for it in installments of $.05 a month. Ike also gave him the 40% off MSRP that most folks on Walton's mountain knew about. The only catch was that Jason had to agree to do some demo's for Ike's website. Win-win.

His page says he was born in England which I never knew.

Great player but his website is unintelligible! WAY too much going on to even attempt to read anything. I seriously don't understand why some websites are so complicated that they're too confusing to read. Seriously!

Rant over. (Sorry about the off-track comments...)

Best,
PJ

Agreed! Guy played with Brian Setzer, Roger Daltrey, Denny Laine, Merle Haggard etc etc etc & the design makes all that practically unreadable.
