My wife grandparents were big smokers and were super into collecting those points. We have a bunch of Marlboro crap around still. Towels, sleeping bags, totes, etc. In fact just yesterday I restrung my Blueridge on one of our old Malboro towels.

No one knows. Someone in China, that’s all we know for sure. Maybe several someones. There is a mythology that Martin had something to do with them but that is not true. I’ve compared it side by side with my D-28 and there are enough detail differences to tell that they were not made from Martin parts or anything like that. They are useable Martin copies, and with a good setup will surprise you with their sound and playability.
I don’t think you can get a good look in the video, but I put “CF Marlboro” on the peghead because I was tired of explaining to people what it was.
