Default Bourgeois Custom D .......1 week old here!

Traded a Bourgeois OM Country Boy AT sitka top as well as a Lowden 0-23 for a new Custom D with a aged torrified adirondack top as well as a aged torrified adirondack braces, Indian rosewood, animal protein glue, custom ivoroid ziricote headstock and fretboard bindings as well as a LR Baggs Lyric pick-up. Never thought a guitar was made that had more projection than my Lowden.........boy was I wrong by a mile!

***Post afterthought.........after I posted this I discovered an article by Dana Bourgeois that surprised me actually. He basically said that well respected luthiers that he admires from around the world say there is no question a big difference sonically to hide glues however he feels that 75% of the sound is from careful matching of the woods (especially the top) used and his meticulous tone tapping/tuning of the top and the remaining 25% of the sound resulting from finish, bracewood and bridge.
