Default Another "Wish I had a brain" moment....

I love playing in dadgad or other similar tunings, but my arm likes a capo on 2, at least. I can sit and play for a couple of hours (wife permitting ) and really enjoy myself and do it every night without discomfort. Some things sound better though without a capo - the zingyness of the trebles when capo'd up doesn't fit every tune or at least the tone/mood I'm looking for.

In a moment of Scarecrow genius (google Wizard of Oz you younger folks) I realized that I can tune to CGCFGC, capo on 2 and bingo, I'm in DADGAD.

I'm also working on an invention in my basement. Its a round kind of thing and rolls. Hmm, roundthing, roller, wheel. Yes, wheel, that's a good name....
