Just deleted Photobucket account !! Recommendations ??

I retired from IT, Photobucket's policy change with no warning, and ridiculous pricing for 3rd party hosting, are unacceptable....just deleted my account (noticed they give you 48 hours to "change your mind").

I lost no pictures, everything is archived. Any recommendations for sites that allow 3rd party hosting? I don't mind a reasonable fee for a good service.

Recommendations ?????

I switched to Imgur. Also free but no insane pop ups ads constantly. Uploads and viewing pretty fast, easy re-sizing of photos when posting. Seems fine to me. Like that commonly used actions all accessible from 1 page.

Thanks, I'll check them out. Photobucket really shot themselves in the foot twice, the way they did it, and stupid high pricing, they must be losing a lot of accounts, I was there 12 years.......

They just kept getting worse and worse. I almost couldn't read their idiotic new terms of service because I got like 8 pop up ads while I was trying to read them.

I already had an Imgur account from when PhotoBucket quit working/opening on the GearSlutz Forum. Also in the other thread someone mentioned if you are an Amazon Prime member the have a free service up to 5 GB

imgur sounds promising but I really shudder at having yet another account somewhere. Im going to be trying the free flickr account that is part of yahoo. fortunately the image upload for AGF has reduced my need for third-party hosting by like 99%

Originally I wasn't having problems with pics but I think it just hadn't caught up to me yet and now I see the fees for 3rd party hosting.

My bigger reason however was the popup ads all over the place making it impossible to navigate around and use the site.

I never paid them anything, so I don't really have an axe to grind with them - they owe me nothing. I am disappointed - I had this account since 2005.

I did include a message in my reason stating the above reasons.

I'm going to try and use my included Yahoo picture hosting and see how that goes.

Yep. It was a bonehead maneuver on their part for sure. Just cancelled my account and I'm off to IMGUR.
