Default #6 Benjamin Paldacci: Jazz Nylon Engelmann Spruce/Indian RW

Hi everyone!

So, this is a first time for me, and a very special one. The customer is a friend & professional musician from France, and he asked me someday "well, I should be pretty interested by a Jazz Nylon, could you do that?".

And here it is. This project start today with the selection of a beautifull Engelmann top from RC Tonewoods & Sons, and a marvellous Indian RW Back & Side from Allied Lutherie. Thanks again to them, this material is pretty great and their business means a lot to me!

I've built my first classical guitar at school years ago with this spruce species, and it's like a "Madeleine de Proust" for me. This rosewood comes from the first batch I bought 2 and a half year, pretty resonant one and I really love the results I had from the last guitar I built.

I hope you'll like the first Jazz Nylon guitar of my life!

Hey Eric! Glad to see you there! I'll joint the top today and think about the rosette-design. It needs to be different from what I do on my acoustic guitars, but not too much. It will be a little touchy!

Ben Engelmann is a great top wood, I often use it with Red Spruce bracing.

Hey Fred, glad to read you!

Yes, I saw a couple of your guitars with this wood especially your gorgeous Ziricote SJ! Stuning work indeed, as always!
