I like them both. They are most likely stellar instruments before paying any mind to the aesthetics. I'm not a traditionalist and I like the looks very much. They look well executed and the maple is very pretty. I especially like the "blaze" version but both are great looking and unique. They also sound pretty darn good.

I like a nice edge-burst.
The blaze burst is too sharp and abrupt for my taste. The Shadow... It's different. I either really like it or hate it, not sure which yet.

I definitely prefer the Blaze. Sounds great. I feel like the quilted maple was disrespected under the shadow stain. Sometimes I like these things better after I get over the initial shock, but when the video mentions that this is not my Grandfather's Martin I can't help thinking I'd rather have my Grandfather's Martin.
