Interesting.

The $12.99 price shows up in the horizontal scrolling section.

Then when you click on that section, the $24.99 price shows up.

Apparently, a software bug.

Bit of an update after a night's sleep and some coffee:

I checked my Musician's Friend order history and nothing is there ... no processing, no tracking ... nothing. So I assume that it just didn't go through at all.

However ....

Over at Guitar Center, my order still shows "processing" with no confirmation or cancellation email. BUT ... my credit card shows the charge as pending. So I may get the one set from GC.

I ordered from Musicians Friend this morning and got an email confirmation. I found them in stock at that price in both places.

I just ordered a couple sets from GC. Also grabbed a three-pack of mediums for 25 bucks - they are usually 30+. They are experiencing delays with shipping, so not sure when I'll get them, but at that price it's too good to pass up!

Finally got two of these ordered online from GC...but with this caution:

This item is available but requires extended shipping time. You will not be charged until the item ships.

I just clicked on that MF link you provided and got a picture of the strings but it says the item is unavailable so I don't know how you got your deal.

As for that GC link for some reason I can't get into my GC account. So I went the guest account route and it wouldn't take my credit card. So I called GC customer service and after a few minutes the rep told me there are none left at this point to send out.

He also said GC showed inventory of about 94 sets at the different stores and he explained that my order last night will be coming to me from one of the GC stores and not from the GC warehouse.

So bottom line is I should be getting the set I ordered last night but the set I ordered just now I won't be getting. As for the credit card pending charge, he said that is really meaningless as it just part of how they process items.

Yep...that’s what my order said, too. It shows up in my GC order history as “preordered” and on my credit card account as pending. Legit so far...but we shall see.

My MF order got cancelled yesterday. Not surprising but doesn’t make me want to rush out to them in the future.
