Any Iris owners near Eastern NC?
I would love to be able to play one of these guitars.. don't even care which Model. I would like to feel the neck and hear what they soundlike. I am 1 hour east of Raleigh. 2 hours south of Richmond, Va

Soundpure music is a dealer in Durham NC also Lowe Vintage in Burlington NC. If you are an hour east of Raleigh it probably isn't a far drive to check either of these shops out and try a few out!

The first one I played, I was struck at the astounding value, right at $2k if I remember correctly. Then they got established, and like Waterloo before them, make a great guitar, just not such a deal as when they came out.
The vibe of IRIS and Waterloo are very similar.

I have been there before. It's by appointment only, and they don't typically have much in stock for you to try out. But they do have some boutique acoustics that you are not going to find most anywhere else in the area, so it's worth a trip if you're serious about buying an Iris--and I have only heard very good things about them.
