Definitely not a dud. I played that beauty daily for three years. Thought it was my lifer. But once I was exposed to the boutique stuff they were (to my ears and hands) clearly a cut above. Now I’m a happy boy with my “heavy hitters,” thanks to the magic of these guys.

Congrats! I also got my first Bourgeois last week. An adi/rosewood Vintage D and it's a sweet instrument. It's beast of a bluegrass guitar.

Sure.
You're on a roll. Can't wait to see what your next guitar will be.

The main differences between both Bourgeois guitars I’ve had and my D41 is balance and clarity! They’re both louder and my Vintage D has just as much bass as the Martin, but the mids and highs are just as prominent! BUT, that Ambertone D41 kicks some Bourgeois butt in the looks department!!

You’ll get no argument from me on that, my friend. The bling on those 40-style Martins is uniquely cool. And that Ambertone really accents that beauty. I always smile when you post a pic of yours. GORGEOUS!

Congrats on your new guitars, I'm sure they are bringing you much joy! I thought I recalled reading you were having some shoulder issues with your previous dread. If so, I hope this means your good to go in that department.
