Default OM/ Small jumbo budget up to $5500 - Europe (Switzerland)

I posted a search ad a couple weeks ago and was offerred a Froggy Bottom K Limited in Fiddleback Mahogany/ Adirondack. The seller and I have agreed on a price and we are both ready to close the deal. This resulted in quite a lot of negotiation with my wife to increase the budget. In fact, the budget was increased so much that I thought I would cast one more line with a new price limit to see if I can catch something unexpected. Don't worry, the seller of the Frog doesn't seem to be in any hurry and has told me repeatedly that there is no pressure on me to close the deal.

I'm now intersted in a 000/ OM/ Small jumbo up to $5500 or so (5000 Euro).
Here's a quick summary of what I'm looking for:

Size: OM/ 000/ Small Jumbo that will compliment what I already have (Baranik JX, Lowden S12). No dreads.
Builder: I'd be mostly interested in guitars from smaller boutiques and single builders. I'm not really looking for a martin, taylor or gibson.
Nut width: at least 1 3/4" (45mm). I would prefer 1 13/16" (46-47mm).
Saddle spacing: at least 2 1/4", 2 5/16" would be ideal.
Style: Has to be responsive enough to play with bare fingers, but still accept some light work with a pick. Nothing really specialized in any direction.

I live in Switzerland. The potential seller would have to be willing to ship to Europe. Ideally, they would also have Heritage insurance or something similar. I would be willing to cover shipping, bank transfer, currency conversion and import duties - we will agree on a net price to you, so the risk of high fees is all on my side.

If anyone is interested in either my Baranik JX (Trade value around 3800 Euro) or my Lowden S12 (Trade value around 1700 Euro) and has something to trade, let me know. I like making deals!

Feel free to reach out by email: [email protected]
PM on the forum is also okay.

I will probably close this thread Sunday evening if I haven't found anything yet - so act fast if you have something!

Thanks in advance!
Brian

Brian, I love following these posts haha! Really appreciate your attitude—your good sense of humor as well as your “let’s-not-get-too-stressed-out-about-it” approach. I myself have gotten way to stressed when buying and swapping guitars.

Best of luck!

Thanks! I really enjoyed the titles that my web browser suggested using past titles for the post. I started off with a budget of 3000, then a couple months later I was at 4000, now I'm up to 5500 - Oops. Glad I like doing the dishes, otherwise I'd be searching for a new wife

Hey Brian

This is not getting the quality time it should. I believe you would really dig it.

Fortunately the CITES restrictions on non Brazilian Rosewood have been lifted!

Best on your search!

Default OM 42 Quilted Maple II

Hi Brian, I know you're not really looking for a Martin, but maybe you might be interested in this OM 42 Quilted Maple II, no. 20 out of 30.

There are some nice pictures of it in this link, much better than I can do

Good luck with your search.
