Taylor 712 Brazilian early 1990s
I’m looking for an early 1990s 712 in Brazilian with Sitka or adi top. I’ve had a 712 from 1990 or 1991 and it has a 25.5 scale. I want it in Brazilian if you have one.
Here is essentially what I’m looking for. https://pegheadnation.com/instrument...4-taylor-712c/ It doesn’t have to have the cutaway or the sound hole bling. I care that it was built in the 1990s with Brazilian rosewood and Sitka top. Thanks |

Close but not exact:
2001 Taylor 814ce LTD with beautiful Solid Brazilian Rosewood Back and sides. It has the "trap door" Fishman blender, Spruce top and shows a bit of wear but it is all cosmetic. Might need from fret work eventually but there is no buzzing because of the frets when I play it. Case also is a bit worn but still functional and protects the guitar well. The Brazilian upgrade was around a $10,000 upgrade on this guitar. I have the receipt in the case. Selling as I rarely play anymore and need to cut my collection down to just a few guitars. I am mainly trying to sell but will consider trade offers depending. Asking $3500 obo Pics available here: https://taylor814cebrazltd.shutterfly.com/ |

thanks for the offer. I actually have an 814ce cites compliant Brazilian. They are great. I want a smaller guitar and I like that 712 size.

I didn't know Taylor even made one with Brazilian. I've got a '91 I bought new. Its different than the newer Taylors but it sounds wonderful and its not going anywhere.
Good luck with the search.

They did here and there. My cousin has my 712 which I think is a 89 to 91 year. It's at least around the corner so I can play it. They have a 25.5 scale even though it plays like a short scale to me. I never realized that until much later. People I played with were always so taken back by the volume from it and it will take any tuning you want due to the scale like a C6. Either way, I still really like the guitar. I have a Martin HD28 Brazilian/Adi and a CITES Compliant 814CE Taylor Brazilian but would still like one of these if I can find it.

Sorry if this is not close enough, but I just saw Elderly has a 714 with Brazilian rosewood, from 1997.
