Default Original song, and my first YouTube video..

My first attempt at recording a video.
It's an original song, written by my friend Peter Rasmussen and myself.

Thumbs up

Yeah, the video didn't play but the Soundcloud sounded great. I like the whole mood and lyrics of the song.

Hmm.. Very strange.
I can't get the video embedded...
I use the YouTube thingy with this link: https://youtu.be/qPWgrFenyfM
In between.. Won't work for me.
I'm using my phone, but that shouldn't matter... ;-(

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it...

Thank you Garrison. 👍
Although, it's probably not the song I recorded on video you've heard, but most of the songs on my SoundCloud account is written by myself and /or my friend Peter.

I'm struggling to get the YouTube link embedded, but for now, I've left the direct link instead...

THANK YOU!!
That worked.

And I did quite a few takes, and I'm not entirely satisfied, but I had to wrap it up in the end.
I'm used to recording playing and singing separately, and I haven't got as much control over the final sound when doing it live, but it's fun to try.

Hi TallDrink,

Nice job on that! Well written song, good job on the sound recording and video.

I'm glad you were able to get the video up so we could all enjoy this!

I have found, too, that it is a real challenge to get both the audio recording and the video recording done in a way where I am really happy with both results. But you are right: you have to wrap it up at some point.

I enjoyed your version here, so you must have done a whole lot of things right!

- Glenn

Okay, I like Hatful of Promises too...your smooth style is very easy on the ears.

So who is doing At Times Like This?

Hi Garrison
Thank you, that's nice of you to say,

I have a duo with my friend Peter, "Lønhart", and we've written and recorded most of the music there together on SoundCloud.
"At Times Like This " is also me, alone for now, Peter and I may record a version together in the future.

Hatful Of Promises is also on our SoundCloud page, in a more polished version, with two guitars and choir.
This live version is a little more raw, but I also like that it's got a bit more groove.

Thank you Glenn, that means a lot to me.

I'll definitely try to do it again with other songs, and I've got a few ideas for different setups with microphones, and try and get better separation of song and guitar.

Maybe I'll even be able to convince my partner in music, to make a video together. Problem is, he's a bit shy..

That's one of the reasons we've only tried two small gigs... I suffer from stage fright, and Peter is shy.. 😄

Hi Jan,
You have a really nice style of playing, and that song has so much going for it!

Very well presented!
