Certainly, Kent. I'm quite keen to play it.

Another beauty, Kent. I especially like the contrasting binding.

Kent had this guitar (or it's "sister" - he made two) at the recent High Cascades Celtic Music Workshop. Kent is too modest to mention it, but Tony McManus LOVED this guitar. Tony played and played it. Then played it some more! He asked Kent all about the build, prices etc.
Do you need a higher recommendation?

It was this guitar. It was finished a while ago but he asked me to delay delivery so that he could show it to Tony.

I would be interested to know who's guitars you compared in wenge BRW, Mad rose and Malaysian blackwood.
Just copied from http://www.wesleyacoustics.com/?q=node/23, it said that Malaysian blackwood is a wonderful tonewood, promising to produce one of the best sounding guitars you will ever hear. There are two varieties, a red (as pictured) and a green (somewhat resembling ziricote). This shares similar properties to African blackwood, but is more readily available. Some say that this wood makes an even better sounding guitar than the old Brazilian (which is no longer exportable).

Sound very interesting tonewood and will buy some sets.

Cheers,

Henry

There is a dread for sale at www.acousticpromusician.com with Malaysian Blackwood back and sides. It is a Charis. There is a video, and the guitar sounds awesome!! If I didn't already have a commission waiting, I'd grab this one in a heartbeat.

I just checked Taylor's website and i shocked when he named it with Macassar Ebony. In fact the back and side is Malaysian Blackwood.

The link :http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars...ic/ps16ce-fltd

"New Charis Deluxe

The video of this is terrific, at least to my ears. Please let me know what you think of it.

Do you have any Malaysian Blackwood dread sets for sale?

What's the piece played on the Beneteau Guitar? Cracking ragtime playing.

Great soundclips, I enjoyed watching them all. Look forward to more videos being uploaded.
