I feel like raising the roof today with a few hours of Pink playing loudly. If Pink doesn't get you moving, not much will.

I’ve only had some pop radio on the last few weeks, little or no news broadcasts but the forum brings me up to date. My audio feeds haven’t been coming through online, but thanks for sharing.

Listening to a bunch of one of my favorite bands, this afternoon. The impecably funky rhythm section of Jerry Watts and Dave Garibaldi.

I have a wide range of things I listen to, but my go to station is Sirius Watercolors - smooth jazz.
Last night, though, pulled out and listened to the title track from this album - it transformed me as an 18 year old in 1968 and opened a whole new world up to me of jazz and the tremendous talent of Wes Montgomery - who had just passed away. The title track (available on YouTube) - so complex, yet just pure emotion for me, is indelible, even after 52 years . . . |

Iced Earth. I listen to them every night. Some amazing music over the past 30 years but not the music that most people here on the AGF would listen to.

Sadly, music no longer speaks to me. Sometimes we'll have a little Pandora-powered Appalachian folk playing in the background while we eat breakfast, but that's about it. I used to be heavily into finger-style country blues and ragtime, and practiced for hours and hours every day. I used to wonder why no one ever wanted to hear me play. Then, I heard recordings of myself and realized I wasn't any good. Whatever the "it" is that real musicians have, I didn't have it. No amount of practice was getting me closer. I spent a lifetime kidding myself.

They were the biggest band in the world at that time, or just prior to it. Too bad they self destructed.
