The End of October
"End of October the sleepy brown woods seem to nod their heads to the winter..." - D. Fogelberg
When I lived on the East Coast November was my favorite month of the year. There is something about the chill in the air, the reds and golds against blue skies on clear days or grey skies on cloudy days, and the barren trees standing like silent sentinels in the early morning fog. Plus, Dan Fogelberg was one of my favorite singer/songwriters of the '70's and ''80's. Here is a link to his song "Old Tennessee".

I live about an hour north of you but spent 6 years of graduate school in New England. I did love the Fall but my favorite time of year back there was late spring when we were finally out of the winter cold and darkness!
Great song by Fogelberg...

Thanks for that. I'm from "old Tennessee," specifically the mountains of East Tennessee. You know, they say there are two kind of people from East Tennessee: those who live there and those who wish they still did. Count me in the latter.

Very nice, CK, thanks for posting.
I think I prefer that live version to the album version. Nice.
