Default How Many Guitar Geeks Are Also Watch Geeks?

I'm relatively new to mechanical watches, finally diving in when my old Swiss Army Watch gave up the ghost. I've got a bit of a thing going with Panerai at the moment (suggested to me by Jason Kostal). Any other watch geeks out there?

I also found there's a cool little industry of individual strap makers that are making vintage style leather straps. Kind of fun.

Looks like you have a really small wrist. Oh yeah, a watch seems to photograph best with 10:10 being displayed. Just checked out "Paneral" watches out over on e-bay------a bit pricey for me, a few grand $, think I'll hang in with my Timex (5 letters, and ends with X).

Watch geek here. My parents bought me a Tag Heuer when I graduated high school. Wore that exclusively for many years and recently got more into watches. I’ve since picked up another Tag (Formula One), a Longines Master Collection, and three Hamiltons.

My dream watch is an Omega Moon watch.

Nice! The moon watches are classic for sure. Very vintage look to them. And great history.

I used to be a bit of a watch person when I worked and I bought some interesting watches and wore them. But since I retired six years ago I seldom wear a watch, so I've drifted away from them. I still have several up in my dresser drawer though.

I always wanted a Movado....black face, gold trim, with a diamond at the 12:00 mark. Found one on Facebook marketplace last year for $100....it was a great buy !!!! New they are $495....But I had to replace the battery.....that's okay, it's a Museum level watch....

When I saw the title and OP of the thread, I chuckled and thought Justin must be hanging out with Jason .

I’m not really a guitar geek or a watch geek, but I have a couple of solid guitars and just got a solid watch for Christmas.

A Vaer C5. It’s pretty low-end compared to what you guys are into, but it’s perfect for me and should last a lifetime.

I've been into watches since my folks got me a Roy Rogers watch over 60 years ago. When I retired I sold nearly all my quartz watches as I got tired of replacing batteries. I prefer self winding or solar. in a way I see it is male jewelry. My wife has the earrings and necklaces. I see a mechanical watch as a finally tuned precision machine that resides on one's wrist.

I have a Timex from the early 1960's - my first watch.
A Tissot moon phase chrono.
Black face waterproof Pulsar - easy to read for my old eyes!
Tag chrono.

Nice watches, guys!

Yes, Jason’s brain was picked for the watch adventures. In fact, he turned me on to Panerai.

I'm a Timex Expedition guy - rugged, cheap, looks cool. Ever realize most people under 30 don't wear watches anymore?
