Default Mom....

Kori,
So very saddened to hear of your loss.
I had seen previous posts you made talking about your mom and your special relationship with her.
It struck me then as it does now, through your words and pictures of her, what a beautiful, graceful spirit she is ... you have been so fortune to have her as a parent and friend, and now as a continuing guiding presence.
We all are better for examples like your mom ...
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Paul

Kori, I'm so sorry for your loss. You have had that rarest of connections with a parent, life long love, friendship and companionship. I'm sure you will carry your mother in your heart through the years.

You have a wonderful perspective on both of your lives, and your loss.
Having such an incredible relationship with you Mom and knowing she was at peace is something you will cherish forever.

She will also be watching (and listening) over you.

So sorry for your loss. I think the tribute to your Mom is wonderful and also emotionally moving. Often, words can seem trivial, lacking the depth that we seek to express how much we care about someone but you painted the most beautiful description of your relationship with your Mom. Thank you for sharing this. I lost my Father on New Year's Day this year and he was my guitar and musical influence as well. I still catch myself grabbing the phone to check in on him from time to time.

So sorry to hear of your loss. She sounds like a wonderful mother, and person! I can't think of anything nicer than a cherished musical instrument passed from parent to child and, maybe even a grandchild someday. Neither of my folks played an instrument (my Dad used to like to mess around on a little plastic recorder he always seemed to have) and at this point, neither of my daughters do either (although my youngest was a pretty incredible pianist before she gave it up), but my younger daughter's fiancé and my older daughter's partner both dabble with guitar, so if either of them get's more into along the way, maybe one of them will be a landing place for some of my gear.

May your Mom's memory be a blessing. She'll always be with you. My folks have been gone a pretty long time now and I still talk to them quite regularly.

-Ray

Hi Kori,

What a beautiful post, what a beautiful tribute to your mother.

I'm so sorry for the loss of such a special person in your life. But knowing you just the little bit that I do from our interactions on the AGF, I know that her legacy continues on through you.

I know her life will always have meaning through your continuing life. That's certainly the best way to honor her and all she lived for.

In so many ways I am glad for you. You are one of the very lucky few to have such a special relationship with a parent.

I am sorry for your loss -- I know you will be dealing with your grief for quite a while to come -- but I am glad for you that you got to live this special relationship.

You take care, Kori.

- Glenn

I am sorry to hear about your mother. You are very fortunate to have a lot of caring relatives and friends for support during this sad time. Always remember the happy times you had with your Mom and especially remember how she influenced and encouraged you in your musical achievements.
