I’m sitting here tearful and somewhat speechless. I can feel the pain of your loss, yet it is your love and gratitude that shine through. An absolutely beautiful tribute to a woman who sounds just as lovely. My sincere condolences...may the loving memories of your mother help you heal and forever bring you peace, joy, and inspiration...

I lost my mom just a few months ago. I am sorry to hear of your loss. Mothers are often our anchors in life. They are sorely missed. I wish you and your family peace in your grief.

Condolences.

She will always be with you as you continue your journey....you will never be alone. That breeze is her dashing by. The warm sun is her adjusting the thermostat. Stars twinkling....she gave you a wink.

^^^I could not have expressed this any better! I recall pics of your mom from other posts and admired the spirit that truly did shine through Kori. We know that a picture is worth a thousand words and the one you shared is right on the mark!
My very best for the days, weeks and months ahead as you work with this very personal loss.
Regards always,
Fred

What a fun and special mother she was, to share your joy of music and guitars. I only wish I had that type of bond with my mother, as wonderful as she was. These are the truly meaningful threads that make AGF so important. To share the human side of who we are. Thank you for sharing this and touching all our hearts.

Sorry for your lose. Your mom sounds like a very special person.

The next time you are looking at guitars and find that perfect one you will hear a voice saying this one needs to go home.

Thank you Kori, for sharing the intimacy of your relationship and send-off of your Mom. She seems to have been the kind of Mom we all hope for. The importance of gratitude is a fundamental in life that sometimes we forget and sadly, that many never experience. You will be a great steward of the sort your Mom held dearly.

If I may, wearing my mod hat, I moved your thread to Open Mic where such posts are most appropriate.

Well said. I agree with you wholeheartedly drplayer.

Sincerest condolences to you, and your family. The impact your mothers influence had upon you is evident. It’s so encouraging to see that love, kindness, class, and positive influence are still in this world that we temporarily live in. I wish you all the best, and that peace would surround you and your family.
