Huge Bruins and Pens fan. I don't follow the pre-season in any sport though, except for contract signings.

Mitch Marner is the newest member of the NHL's $10M / season club. Glad he got signed before the season started.

Default Speaking of NHL

Speaking of NHL, the CBS Show "Survivor" New upcoming season, has Tom Laidlaw as a contestant. Should be interesting!

I wonder if Byfuglien is going to retire. He took a leave of absence from the Jets.

Hard to say. It was sudden. He loves playing in the Peg. Huge loss for the Jets d-corps, but it frees up $7.6mill of cap space. They have $15mill cap space now, and need to sign Conner and Laine. Big Buf's retirement will weaken their backend, but they'd be able to sign Laine and Connor. They'd have to find a cheap d-man in the 2-3mill range, to fit everyone under the cap. My Flames are in the same situation, with Tkachuk. So goes today's NHL.

I've always pulled for the Jets. Here's hoping they can sort everything out, and remain competitive. They are awful close, to a Cup run.

Still not understanding why a Toffees supporter cares about ice hockey.

Buf missed half of last season. Although still a presence on the ice I think he's on the downward slide. He has 2 years left on his contract. You might be right about freeing up that cap space would be a good thing.

Born/raised in NY. Now live in Alberta. Always a hockey fan. Even as a little kid.

Now how did I become a Toffee supporter?! Always liked Everton...
