Default NGD - Budget-friendly surprise!

It's a little long-winded, but...

Bought a cheap Korean dreadnought a few months ago. Played good, good tone. Had an inexpensive aftermarket pickup installed.

For whatever reason, it worked fine with my Loudbox, both with and without a Baggs Para DI in the chain.

Went to play some gigs where the venue provided the backline, and zero signal at two different shows, totally different pa systems, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Anyway, I didn't want to sink more $$ into a guitar I paid a total of $90 for, so I went looking at GC for ideas so I could maybe upgrade at some point.

Full disclosure: I was diagnosed with heart failure recently, and had to stop working, otherwise I would have bought something.

Then I remembered that I had a nice A/E nylon that I just couldn't justify keeping.

I traded plus cash from GC for this Mitchell T333E in Edge Burst finish.

It's got the open-pore finish on all hog, solid top.

Tusq nut and saddle, really nice forward acoustic tone and sounds really nice plugged in.

It was one of those "picked it up and liked it a lot right away" moments, so I didn't second-guess it.

In person, the grain moves under the light... the color looks like dark coffee or chocolate.

Just wrote a beautiful new song on her.

A guitar that you love that comes with chocolate and coffee - what could be better?! Oh, it looks like chocolate and coffee... No matter, keep enjoying playing your wonderful new guitar.

Best,
Jayne
