Great talent in my opinion. He knows how to craft a great guitar solo that goes beyond just chops and actually fits the song. I've always been a sucker for the song more than just great playing. To me, he strikes a great balance with great catchy songwriting, good vocal performance and nice expressive guitar playing.

In a world of canned copy/paste silly processed "country" music, he stands out.

And that’s a perfect example of why people become “stars”. There is just something special about them. He just shines.

Keith’s playing is extraordinary! But shouldn’t he be playing a Keith Urban guitar?

I've been a HUGE fan of Keith Urban since he first hit the scene many years ago...

He's the real deal in a sea of mediocre "Country" artists who make flashy videos for Frat boys and Daisy Dukes...

That being said, I think he should be given 30 lashes with a set of rusty Black Diamond strings for putting his name on those guitars...

The pawn shops around here are full of them...they're junk and they give can't them away...

The usual disclaimers and all...

Been a big fan for a long time. The man can play a guitar!
He states that his youthful guitar playing inspiration was Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits.
As is often the case, he spent most of his life "trying" to make it big and finally he hit on it.
I've watched early taped vids of him appearing on Aussie variety shows when he was very raw and very young.
