Default ISO new stuff to play

So in recent years I've gotten into country blues, bluegrass & folky stuff (but I've always had an ear for the great instrumentalists like Leo Kottke, etc.) and now I'm looking for something outside that wheelhouse to get into, something entirely different but based on flatpicking.

I'm wondering if you can point me towards artists or genres in the general vein of classical or jazz who play acoustics with flatpicks. Thanks

Try Gypsy Jazz - Stochelo Rosenberg, Bireli Lagrene, Gonzalo Bergara, of course D'jango Reinhardt. This, IMO, is the most technically advanced guitar playing using a flatpick that there is. I can easily hold my own in rock, blues, folk, country, bluegrass or Americana. GJ will humble anyone new to it.
