2019 Emerald X20 Woody
Up for sale, a brand new Emerald X20 Woody with Ziricote veneer and standard hard case, bone nut and saddle and no electronics. I really wanted to love this guitar. Although the tone and balance between strings are miraculous, it does not appeal to me as much as a larger, wider wood instrument. I've owned and played some amazing guitars that cost ten times what this Emerald cost. Were they ten times better? In a word, No. Not even close. The performance of these instruments is amazing for the price you pay. I am spoiled by the Greenfields, Olsons and Lowdens I've owned. I wouldn't call them better than an X20, just different. If you have played one of these guitars, fell in love with it and don't want to wait for a new one, the first $1850.00 (+ shipping) I'm offered gets it. This is a huge discount on a $2500 price new. The guitar's strings literally haven't broken in yet. I satisfied my curiosity. My loss is your gain. PayPal payment required before shipping. This deal will mean a Merry Christmas for someone.

This is an academic question at this point, but are the bone nut and saddle an Emerald upgrade (or sidegmade) or something you added yourself? And the lack of electronics? Was it a custom or did you take the electronics out?
Beautiful veneer BTW. I assume it's an amber weave on the sides and back? Someone ought to snap this up pretty quickly at this price... -Ray

Good questions Ray! And I would love to know if you can tell any tonal diff with the bone bits?
I have had two of these, minus the veneer, which is BEAUTIFUL. Both sounded great to me (for CF). And I LOVE the shape and geometry of the Emerald X-20. LOUD Too... No custom neck shape on this? Should be gone any time now... haha Paul

 What do most people do for pickups in these, and can it be added later?
