That 1SR looks like great bang for the buck. Gotoh 510's, multi-piece neck, bevel... all very high-end features. Beautiful to look at.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Very happy to be here on AGF and definitely hope that our members here will get to know our guitars.

Allow us to introduce ourselves, and use this thread as a platform to update and showcase our instruments.

Claren Guitars is a very young brand based in Singapore. We build quality guitars for discerning players. We'd like players to know that it is possible to get high-quality instruments for sensible prices.

Here are some features that you can find in our guitars.
  1. All models are full-solid builds. Laminates just don't exist in our universe.
  2. Our modern collection guitars all feature bevels, chamfered edges and rounded fret ends for playing comfort.
  3. Deluxe models feature exotic/premium tone woods.
  4. All our guitars are equipped with our in-house two-way pickup, so you're stage-ready whenever you're ready.
  5. Hardcase is standard for all models.
  6. All Claren Guitars undergo strict inspection on build quality and would have undergone two rounds of setup and adjustment by the time they reach you.

Please check out our website:

We have prepared an FAQ at our website:

Feel free to check in with us if you have any suggestion or questions. We're always happy to talk about guitars.

I know it depends on destination, but can you give us an estimate of cost and time to ship from Singapore? That could add a significant amount to the cost.

Hello there, thanks for your interest.

Based on the current exchange rates, we're looking at around US$187 to ship from Singapore to USA.

We ship via Fedex International Priority. That takes about 3 working days to reach.

Our prices on the webstore are listed in Singapore Dollars and will auto-convert to your currency according to your country.

Default Warranty Info

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you found our guitars good-looking.

We should definitely put up the warranty info on the webstore soon. But here it is.

Our guitars come with a one-year limited warranty. The warranty covers build quality and structure of the guitar itself.

Examples of such instances (but not exhaustive) are:
bindings coming off, bridge flying off, woods separating with no reason, machine heads malfunction, pickups not working, etc.

The warranty does not cover misuse, accidental damage, wear & tear, tonal or setup preferences.

Examples of such instances, again not exhaustive:
guitar gets run over by a truck, guitar is dropped from height and busted, your pet maimed the guitar, strings are rusty, action not as low as your Fender Strat, messed up the guitar by taking it to unqualified tech, etc.

We will make a video on this aspect. Thanks for bringing this matter up. I think sometimes it is great to have inputs from players.

Again, feel free to check in with us if you have any queries.

Andy

Default Introducing the 1Ac Deluxe - full-solid acacia premium model

I guess people are shy, so let me start by introducing our guitar models. Please let me know if it's inappropriate to do so.

1Ac Deluxe

Our premium model in a stunning all-acacia build.

So similar in appearance and tone to the venerable Hawaiian koa, acacia gives so much character to 1Ac.dlx. With its striking grains and sheer beauty, this model takes on any guitar in terms of looks. And we mean even guitars costing over 10 times more.

While less direct than spruce, the M-Jumbo shape ensures this guitar packs some volume and punch.

We also selected purpleheart for the fretboard and bridge. The purplish hue of this timber makes the guitar a true visual treat.

What is the M-Jumbo shape? Well, it is our slightly modified Jumbo. While not as large as the SJ-200, it does have a wider lower bout (16-1/2") than a dreadnought.

What styles would the 1Ac suit? This is a bigger sized guitar and is actually very versatile. From strumming to fingerstyle, the 1Ac feels at home. We particularly like the hardwood top as it does not sound like it's "breaking up" even with a heavier attack.

Does the guitar sound as good as it looks? Yes, definitely. You're getting a boutique build quality for a very sensible price.

Is this guitar very big and unwieldy? While the M-Jumbo shape is indeed larger than a dreadnought, it feels more like a GA size due to the duo-bevels. The arm and rib bevels combine to shave off up to 50mm in terms of feel but you still get the presence and volume of the full 125mm body depth.

Specs:
Shape - M-Jumbo with Duo-Bevels
Top - Acacia
Body - Acacia
Neck - Okoume 5-Ply
Head Plate - Acacia
Fretboard - Purpleheart
Bridge - Purpleheart
Binding - Padauk
Purfling - Black & Abalone Lines
Rosette - Padauk & Abalone
Bevels - Padauk
Bridge Pins - Ebony with Abalone Dot
Nut & Saddle - Bone
Body Finish - Gloss
Neck Finish - Satin
Tuners - Gold Plated
Truss Rod - 2-Way
Pickup - Two-Way with Volume & Mic Blend
Case - Hard Case

Dimensions:
Total Length - 1045mm (41.2”)
Body Length - 512mm
Scale Length - 650mm (25.6”)
Width at Lower Bout - 418mm (16.4”)
Depth at Heel - 100mm (4”)
Depth at Base - 125mm (4.9”)
Nut Width - 44mm (1.73”)
Neck Profile - beefy C Shape
Neck Thickness 1st Fret - 21.5mm
String Spread at Nut - 37mm
String Spread at Saddle - 54mm
