Things he says in that video are conclusions I've also reached after keeping an eye on that and other YT channels. I don't think the M2 in and of itself will be a huge upgrade. And considering my needs, the Mac Studio, whether I go Max or Ultra in the end, will be overkill for my immediate needs for quite some time. For the same reason, waiting on the M3 doesn't seem necessary to me because it's likely be overkill stacked upon overkill.

I'm still leaning towards the Max Ultra. The only upgrade I'd make is to the SSD drive. I'm hoping we start to hear something about the speed of the 1 or 2TB drives compared to the 4 and 8TB drives. I haven't seen anything on that yet.

Jim sorry because I do not remember where I read about it ... BUT I do remember people indicating that for the fastest possible internal SSD speeds you have to go to at least the 4 TB BUT it think the real question is ___Is that even remotely necessary for audio given these new 1 and 2 TB SSD's are still faster than any internal SSD's prior .......??????????????????

There were some posts (here, on AGF, I believe) from someone who had information about the SSD drives in the Mac Studio he purchased. There are two SSD connections in the Mac Studio. A 1 TB SSD uses one slot. A 2 GB Mac Studio uses two slots (each with a 1 TB SSD working together), etc. He wrote that the SSDs in 4 and 8 GB machines were faster because the 4 TB SSDs were faster than the 1 TB SSDs.

I think I remember someone saying it but I've never seen confirmation that it's true.
