Default Another Rebecca Urlacher masterpiece...

Here is another new instrument from my local (Eugene, OR) friend Rebecca Urlacher. She has about 20 guitars completed now, and she is way ahead of the curve on fit and finish, not to mention the sound that her instruments are delivering.

This is her "Concert" model, and is about an OM size, with a 15" lower bout. Rebecca delivers this guitar with a 25" scale.

Disclaimer: Rebecca is a dear friend, and while I have tried to encourage her in her building (and publicize just a bit for her), there is no relationship other than friendship! She's a terrific friend, and a builder worth noticing!

Very nice! I'm excited to be introduced to Rebecca and her guitars. Her tenor guitars look like something I'd enjoy giving a try in a group setting. By myself, I'd probably grab the Concert model first.

Thanks again, Larry, for bringing her to our attention.

Great looking guitar. It has a lot of the Goodall aesthetic in the design.

Whew... I'm listening to "Hands of Time" recording posted at her site. Which Concert model are you playing? It (and you) sound superb through my headphones. I think I'll have a pot of coffee (Ohori's "Guatemala-Antigua", French press) and listen some more.

Having a great day - hope you are too!

Thanks, George (and to the others that have commented!).

I'm "off" coffee for now (maybe forever), so yer killin' me with your french press!

I recorded the two Concert (guitar model) tracks with a guitar that had Brazilian back & sides and an Adirondack top. Rebecca is getting a great sound overall, although the Brazilian/Adi *was* nice.

Please pardon the sloppy playing, as all of the guitars I recorded for Rebecca have a 25" scale, which is a full inch longer than my doctor allows! Nevertheless, I wanted to help get the "sounds" of her guitars out there to the listening-public, so I played 'em anyway.
