Default Best Bargain on the AGF....by a country mile.

If I wasn't Froggied out myself then I would have to buy this one. Can't believe it's not sold yet. This guitar must be so open due to it's age & the koa is to die for. I can only imagine a very firm, articulate, rich & complex Froggy signature tone coming from this one. And the F/0000 is so versatile & will do all styles well. And Jimmy is one of the nicest guys on the planet so no one can go wrong on this smoking deal. GLWS.

I thought that all Froggies came standard with Adirondack tops unless otherwise specified.

Thanks for the note. According to Michael at Froggy Bottom, Adirondack tops were standard at that time. However, he believes it is sitka...this is part of the message I received from him:

"I believe it’s a sitka top from some wood harvested in 1948 and which I bought in 1968 or 1969 from a man who ran a boatyard in Branford, CT where I worked in high school and college. "

Smile Wood stories...

I LOVE wood stories like this!

If this was a 12 fret... I would be in trouble.

Someone will be in tone heaven.

They are TOOLS, not fetish objects. At least for me! Hahaha

Be well

Paul

Default Bump it up....

Come on guys, can't believe this one is still here. What a steal at this price. This guitar will be well broken in by now & koa is heavenly when opened up. This a premium Froggy F with substantial upgrades & will do all styles well. Jimmy is one incredibly fussy guy when it comes to tone so this must be special. Shame he has to sell it & I'm sure it must be a wrench to let it go. I'm almost tempted to take this one myself because I've never seen a Froggy of this quality priced so low. Somoene take this one before I go into Froggy overload myself. GLWS.
