Another one for me is Vivaldi's 4 Seasons. My first ever girlfriend introduced me to it when I was 17 years old. I've been listening to it regularly ever since then; it just never gets old.

Yes - Close to the Edge
James Taylor - Mud Slide Slim Two COMPLETELY different styles yet both resonate with me for some reason.

Bob Dylan - Bringing it all Back Home. This album does exactly what it says on the tin - it’s home to me.

No more album needed…several ways to stream and I can listen to virtually anything.

It's not the same thing. Streaming a bundle of disembodied, unrelated songs by various artists is a very different experience from listening to an album that has a story, a time, and a location.

There was a period between The Beatles breaking up and discovering The Yes Album when Tommy was my album of choice.

I agree. But, we’re of a different generation, so there are many who have never known this delight.

I rarely stream anything except full albums. Only when I am driving do I listen to playlists of various artists as the length of the journey would likely not coincide with the length of the album. Also, some albums aren’t suited to driving - Dark Side of the Moon doesn’t work for me, too many quiet bits that are overpowered by the sound of the engine and tyres. Maybe if you have a Rolls Royce it’s ok.

Nic Jones ... Penquin Eggs. Couldn't begin to count how many times I've listened to it.

Point taken, but if 'rokdog49,' the person who made the comment about streaming songs, is as old as I'm guessing, he's ten years older than I am and was likely savoring those delights when I was still watching Batman!

There are FAR TOO MANY albums that I keep playing to mention here!
When I was a kid, record albums cost a lot of money... as a 14 year old in 1965, a new record was ~$5 or so... that was substantial for me as a youngster, so I got in the habit of buying ONLY RECORDS that were great from first track to last... I got suckered by a couple where there were just one or two great tunes and the rest, not so much... so I tended to be careful and thorough with my buying... As a result, there are hundreds of records that I own that I enjoy hearing, time and again; certainly due to a bit of nostalgic appeal, but primarily because they are GREAT collections where every song has something to say that resonates with me... lately, I've noticed how "timeless" so many of them are, where the subject matter and performances are exemplary by "today's" standards. Although I own ~1200 or so various recordings, I rarely listen to music on my stereo at home... more often when I'm in my car, but I always choose something that appeals to me in the moment. One of my least favorite things to do is to trust my listening experience to some bot's idea of what a "play list" is... A few that I keep playing... The "Brown" Album, by the Band... "Sunday at the Village Vanguard", Bill Evans Trio (with LaFaro and Motian) Willis Alan Ramsey (the only one so far!) "Bring the Family", John Hiatt "Revolver", "The White Album", the Beatles "Happy/Sad", Tim Buckley "Paraiso", Gerry Mulligan Most all the music I love would be classified as "Classic" Something or Other...

I have the CD and like it. I love Jimmy Buffett''s cover of Ballad of Spider John, which is a song from that album.
