1952 Gibson LG1 is Back! Monster's back!
1952 Gibson LG1 back from repairs and a setup!
Not for everyone, but I love ladder braced guitars! Huge crack on top fixed, braces reglued, logo had speckle paint previous owner put on removed! And setup! Now:    Before with crack:  BluesKing777.

Looks great! They are fun little Gibbies. Mine has surprised me with decent power and volume.

While the ladder bracing can make you sound more like Robert Johnson than Robert..., it is also sensational for tunes that have the melody and chords, oh yeah! Sings!
And not much beats old wood...71 years old! Better go play it some more, like an old, old new guitar day,  what? BluesKing777.

There was a lot more work where you can't see! Loose braces etc.
I want to stop playing the thing for a minute and compare it to my ladder braced Waterloo WL14L! But like buying a new guitar, I can't put it down...and I have a sore thumb with a little split in the callous exactly where it hits the strings...off the field I go. What a cool little guitar when it is working!  BluesKing777.
