Martin D18 Serial Number
Hello all,
First day/1st post, so go easy on me please! After playing my 1984 Alvarez DY45 near to death, I picked up a ‘used’ D18 in October of ‘23. The shop had this used one along with a brand new one side by side, and I swear the used one felt so much better. The $600 difference in the price tag didn’t hurt either. I rolled the dice, yes I know, since I don’t get the warranty. Anyway, the Martin website is slightly confusing - it says “last” and a number, so that tells me mine is a 2020. The guitar I purchased must have come back to the store because it’s either a floor model or was barely played. Not a fingerprint on it. |

Well, welcome to there forum.
It's possible that your guitar was bought during Covid and sold back to ther store after the person realized that they weren't going to learn to play. They're loss is you gain. Congratulations on your new guitar! |

2020 Last no. 2454224
If your guitars serial number is after that number, it is later than a 2020. Hope that helps. |
