Watched a TV programme on Dylan's early years last night.

I was naming all the guitars.

No.1 wife said "you're doing it again!"

You know that you're a Guitar Geek when:

Your wedding gift list is at Sweetwater

Your spare bedroom is filled with empty guitar cases

You've got one on order, but you're thinking about the next one

You have to buy a larger car to go somewhere with your guitars

You have to shift from fingers to toes when asked how many guitars you own

You spend more than three minutes trying to decide which one to play

You pay big bucks to sit up-front at a concert, and all you notice are the equipment manufacturers

It takes longer than a minute to answer the question: If you could keep just one guitar...

You know you are a guitar geek when...
you can talk about guitars specs and industry
for hours without playing even a short riff !
(I do...)

When you have to stop and think for a few minutes about which one is coming out of the case… and then at the end of the night you have to put more than 2 away.

Barry, I'll add that you also know what guitars belong to what cases even if blindfolded. Not just by touching the case but by smell.

Guilty on counts 3, 6 and 8!

And finally: you've spent more on capos than your 1st Martin cost.

When you've sold away multiple "dream" guitars.

You put aside an entire day on your calendar for 'string changes'.

A guitar shows up on Antiques Roadshow and you know everything about it before they've said the first word

You know you’re a git geek when you get out of bed and pull up AGF excited to read a post about equipment you’ll never own and guitars you've never heard of.

Actually I could have stopped at “you get out of bed and pull up AGF…”
