Default Anybody try the Anthem on a 12?

Yeah, yeah, I know. it's a mic with a UST, and it sounds like it. I am going to try one on a custom build 6 string, because you can definitely add more "mic" to the mix (in a live setting) then with other dual source systems I've tried. And even after questioning the logic of pairing the mic and ust myself, I have to admit it doesnt sound bad.

Am I wrong? If you think I am, tell me why, and what you use. I want the mic to be the dominant portion of the mix, without having to use EQ to neuter the sound to avoid feedback.

But has anyone yet tried it on a twelve string?

One of the things I noticed right away with my Anthem SL was how little EQ tweaking I had to do to get a sound I was happy with.

Cool

Why wouldn't it work as well on a 12-string as it does a 6-string?

I am seriously contemplating getting a new Taylor GA3-12 and installing an Anthem system, but I was waiting for one of you guys to blaze the trail for me.

I picked up my (American made) Breedlove C25 12'er this morning. I had the Baggs Anthem installed, along with a fully compensated bone saddle. I will give a full review once I've had some time to play it. Gotta tell you though, it sounds pretty good already. A little time dialing it in, and I'll post a clip. I haven't seen anyone else post about using the Anthem on a twelve string so.................

Excellent! A guinea pig... I have been considering installing Anthems on both of my Mark Angus acoustics, 6 and 12 string, and wanted to hear about this aspect of the Anthems...

I've only played one guitar with the Anthem, down at James Goodall's shop. I liked it very much, although it was through a PA he has, and I am unfamiliar with it. Next step is to take my Angus down there, play it through his system so I can get an idea of the tonal differences...

I will await your response to the Anthem in your Breedlove 12...

Thanks!
