I'd choose the Bourgeois. My Bourgeois has been my main player for many years despite owning a couple of Martins.

And, while that flamed neck is lovely, the sunburst on that Martin is, umm, well... not my favorite.

That D-28 looks pretty special.

Tough one. Both would be great.

Id probably lean towards the Martin if it were me....

I'd get the Bourgeois. I've never played a bad one (not that I've played hundreds) and you already have a Martin that you like.

I agree that if the Martin was an HD-28, I would pick it.
If the Bourgeois has scalloped bracing, I would pick it.

I’ve never played a Bourgeois but the slope D are recently very attractive to me

I’m also a sucker for the Martin sound and this flame neck is killing me. I’ve also never played Adi before.

I’m looking at these two.

Luckily it isn't my call.

The Bourgeois looks delightful, but their necks simply don't suit me.

I'm sure the Martin would give you that "martin" sound, but , (personal feeling) I don't care for that "sudden" sunburst.

That Martin neck is something else- wow. Super cool and tempting- HOWEVER, I wouldn't be able to deal with the sunburst asymmetry.

So if it was one of those guitars or the other, I'd go with the Bourgeois. But I also wouldn't buy the Bourgeois without playing it (or a bunch of them to know whether the general "thing" they have works for you/me).
