Default NGD Madsen OOO-12

Using my first official new post to show off my custom OOO-12 made by luthier Andrew Madsen in central Wisconsin! Andrew was great to work with and was quick to address my questions, receptive to my input, and cognizant of my playing style. The build quality of his guitars is second to none and the playability and sound is everything I could hope for: articulate, responsive, and balanced. Thanks, Andrew!

Some of the specs:

-Russian spruce top
-Flamed koa back, sides, purfling, neck binding, and sound hole binding
-Flamed maple body binding, back strip, heel cap, and end graft
-Ebony slotted head stock, fretboard, and bridge

For those of you who are headed to IBMA, I believe he will be there. Check out his work if you can!

Andrew sure knocked it out of the park! Gorgeous instrument. It's hard to beat flamed koa for binding. And that maple is killer, too. Love it.

Russian Spruce? That's a new one on me. Is that similar to high-altitude spruce?

It would be hard to improve upon it's traditional looks. If the tone keeps pace, you have a lifetime winner. Congratulations!

Thanks, all! Really happy with it and I feel like I have a guitar to keep and pass down.

Russian spruce is just European spruce, but....well you know how we in this forum love those details.
