Default How many times have you been married?

I have been married twice and my wife three times, only once with each other. We are big fans of the institution!

Just once for me. I always loved the Tom Waits line, from "better Off Without a Wife" -

I am a 3 time Loser. Came home to find my wife dead on the floor, after 9 great years. I raised 3 daughters solo. Hence my guitar techniques suffer. I learned it was better to be nice and give away money. Isn't California family court nice? Someone made a clerical error about paid child support, and the medical board suspended my license for 90 days, when they made the mistake. Glad to be single and raising 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 horses, and a new 12 string.

After two marriages, I came to realize that I'm just not wired for a 24/7 relationship...

Third time for me, second for Mrs. Tinnitus. This one should "take."

Once for me (I was 52 although we’d been living together for 8 years). Twice for Mrs Bird.

Once. She's pretty great. I have my feet up with the dog and a margarita right now and there's 3 guitars in the room and she hasn't said anything

Just one for me. Got married at 26 (she was a couple months short of 25) and we seem to have got it right the first time. We’re at 38 years and a couple months. We had some semi-difficult times raising two wonderful daughters and a very challenging nephew, but we’ve basically been on the same page all the way through. And these days it’s all gravy, easy, sweet, fun with one grandchild and two more on the way. We should be good until our health starts inevitably failing, but hopefully that’s many years away.

I'm not married, my wife is.....I got lucky with her. My first and only.....
Actually, my proposal was "I don't want to get married, you don't want to get married, So I think we should get married.

Coming up on 19 wonderful years.

Once for us and from that luck plus the kids doing well against some we know, have joked the tax breaks and any benefits or discounts should be outcome based.

We also joked once is plenty - that applies to marriage and kids.

On my second (and last) marriage. (I always say if this one doesn’t stick I’m done.)

But after 30 years I think we’re going to make it.
