Default What have you done for your car lately???

Self-explanatory. What have you done to or for your car lately? Cleaning it up before selling doesn't count. I have a '16 Honda CRV which I purchased when new. My son got me a SIRIUS radio set-up which I recently installed and I also purchased a front set of laser-cut WeatherTech floor mats. I hope to drive it to the nursing home when the time comes...

With the help of a friend……new plugs, filters, oil and tightened the clutch yesterday on a 2011 Subaru Outback ….78,000 miles ..Standard tune up stuff. With the prices of cars these day, I would like this one to also last until I should no longer drive.

Need to rotate the tires. Saving that for next weekend. Now it’s time to jam

Washed the Pilot last week. Then waxed it. By hand, the old-fashioned way.

It looks great. And my bad shoulder still hurts.

Just perpetual babying - I drive it really easy and keep it detailed all the time.

New Michelin traditional-tread tires. Also bought a rebuilt pair of carbs (now I actually have to put them on)

Last Spring's project was custom-fabricating a radiator shroud and extending the fan spacer to match the shroud.

I kept it warm and dry in my garage during the tropical storm that hit the east coast this weekend.

2006 Honda Accord EX five speed with vtec engine, leather seats and sunroof; Only 114k miles.

My car may be numerically old, but it still runs like a champ. It can do 50 in second gear. I just replaced the timing chain cover and valve cover gasket ($1500). With luck, I can have a few more years with the best car I have ever owned.

We moved into our current home in 2001. One of the many projects I did was moving a wall to make one garage bay deeper to fit our ski boat in it. All these years I've babied that boat, storing it inside.

In 2021 I bought a new hybrid RAV4. In 2022 my wife got a new plug-in hybrid Crosstrek. Just a few weeks ago we moved the boat out to the driveway (old neighborhood, no codes/covenants) cleaned and reorganized the garage and now we're in the minority of weirdos who actually keep our cars in the garage.

New Michelin CrossClimate tires. Expensive in the size I needed but much quieter and better ride than the previous brand.
