It was less than your 10 year test phase, and I might have posted before how our unexpected relationship started when everyone but my wife and I cancelled on a group camping trip to some primo windsurfing beaches. We went anyway.

When I picked up my now wife she just returned from living and working in Europe so was at her parents temporarily. I arrived to see her mom mowing the lawn in a bikini while her dad was in lederhosen with a cigar, beer and newspaper. I thought "This family looks very interesting." I was right.

This is 34 years together and 27 years married. That young women broke a lot of promises or pledges. At first she insisted she wanted no automobiles, no pets, no kids, no houses or anything that ties people down. Now there are kids, pets, two homes and she even had a minivan.

Most important. I adore her more than ever if that is even possible.

My best wishes to all for long and successful relationships.

VERY happily UNmarried for every day of my life. I've done the living together bit a few times and that worked out better or I'd be multiply divorced.

Dated for four years, married for 40 this past July. She's a keeper. Her husband, not so much! She's very patient. Her training of him is an arduous, long-term, continuous project of which she has - and continues to make - great strides. He's almost completely domesticated at this point.

46 years. Doesn't count three years of dating prior. We bought a Jeep CJ5 for our first anniversary and I'm afraid if we split she would take the Jeep.

Married my college sweetheart in 1969, so we've been married 54 years.

Two kids, five grandkids, and five dogs.

I got the right woman the first time around.
