Why would that make me want to buy their cars ????

If the ad doesn't feature the product - it means there is nothing good to say about it!

At least the BBC doesn't run ads ... or does it ? Loads of short promos for other programmes between programmes !
Citroen? I haven't seen one of those in the states in decades, I thought they stopped making them!

And there is always a classic car in the ad too.

I find ads that use pictures of people smiling with their mouths wide open even worse.
Who does that and if they do, why?
Check these out…

I'm British. The many Brits (and possibly other Europeans) among us here will know the dire ads I'm referring to.
Citroen are a very large company, (Wife used to have a 2CV - embarrassing !
Personally, the oly Citroen I'd consider would be the 1948 Traction avant - built in ...Slough! https://www.carandclassic.com/list/15/traction%20avant/

The modern Peugeot are very interesting.

The other ads that I find objectionable - products for incontinent women and women sitting on a WC talking about menstruation, but those who REALLY anger me are the ads for gambling apps which I feel strongly should be banned!

I'm with you on the gambling ads Andy.

The sheer hypocrisy of some of the ads, claiming they have their customers interests at heart on one hand whilst giving away 'free spins', credit, etc, etc. It's like a drug dealer giving away free samples.

Here I thought commercials were mini breaks to look at my phone.

I have been seeing a commercial that looks like a musical where an oversized actress dances all over the place. I can't help but think of what the audition add said. Wanted one overweight female that can dance, sing and act. I wonder how many showed up. I couldn't tell what they are selling.

We haven't had cable TV for about 15 years now and you're all reinforcing that this was a good decision. To Rokdog's point, I noted that none of the people in the stock pictures he posted were remotely close to my age. However, I now like to smile with my mouth open to show off the thousands of dollars I've invested in crowns!

When I see people jumping up on tables, dancing on them, and wildly wrecking the room with seemingly crazed antics, I always think about how miserable it's going to be cleaning it up afterwards. Same with people smashing through walls, destroying objects and the like. But then my husband says I overthink a lot of things. I'm just looking at these ads from the perspective of someone who likes order and neatness rather than random stacks and piles.

Man, you're right.

It's suddenly everywhere.

And it looks really stupid...
