Default Kinnaird student build ... fixed

Ok, lets try this again. I did a student build with Steve Kinnaird and Ryan Middlebrook in January. It was amazing (as were both of my "instructors". After 9 weeks of waiting for the guitar to be finished (the coating ... not completion) I picked it up the weekend before Easter. It is a Kinnaird SJ style guitar, Spruce top and Black Walnut back and sides (and rosette ... and headstock). Looks amazing .... plays amazing ....

Congratulations Steve. As an alumnus of Kinnaird myself, I imagine you are in awe that you were able to create such a thing. Albeit, you had some top notch instructors with a great game plan.

Enjoy and cherish it for as long as you live. I’m sure you will.

It is such a privilege to be able to do this. And Steve was such an enthusiastic student. We were able to get this into his hands in time for his church’s Easter service, which adds another level of satisfaction to the whole experience.
Thanks for the opportunity, Steve. We hope you enjoy this for many years.

I enjoyed taking my guitar to B.I.G. There were several Kinnard west student builders there. I had the privilege of having several people play my guitar. Other luthiers, other guitar players and three of the four incredible musicians that came to play for us. Both Brad and Ben from Frog and Toad as well as Tony McManus. Tony played my guitar for about 30 minutes. I have just a short 30 second video of him playing it.
