Hi Larry,
You're welcome. Indeed it does. I had the same thought when I read out all the names after Donald had made his picks.
All those names, except for two, should be very familiar to US fans. I had never heard of Aberg, but he just won a DP Tour event. Don't know much about Højgaard either, but they're both riding a good wave, and young. These days:
Young = Fearless
And thankfully again this year, NBC has the call, with Zinger at the mic.
Should be a fun watch!

I guess the European team isn't exempt from Ryder cup drama either...

Well, if the upcoming Ryder Cup match is anything like last week's Solheim Cup, it should make for another very entertaining TV watch. That was some display of golf by the ladies, on both sides of the pond. Congrats to the Euros, especially Carlota and Leona, and for overcoming an early 0-4 hole. That was a tough climb against a talented US squad.
The upcoming matches should be very similar I think, at least on paper. Every day the hype meter goes up over at the GC.
Should be a fun watch.

Unbelievable pitch/chip shots by the ladies!!! The team scoring, outcome were confusing to me, as was the singing. Put a recent bout of insomnia to very good use. Nice job Spain!

Yes, that was some incredible shotmaking by the Ladies. And clutch, clutch performances, especially the Euros. It's great to see golf played at such a high level.
Team scoring is the identical for both Solheim and Ryder Cups. Full point for a win, 1/2 point for ties, no points for losses. No playoffs. Towards the end of Sunday it was still unclear who would win. It literally came down to a handful of clutch shots by the Spaniard Ciganda, set up by a couple of wins down the stretch by a few of her teammates. It was that close. Unreal, but actually similar to the last few, only this time much tighter. Great sport stuff.
The Cup holder needs just 14 points to win/retain, the challenging team needs 14 1/2 to secure a win.
So, the US needs just 14 points to win this weekend. The Euros, 14 1/2.
I have a good feeling about the US squad this year. They haven't won in Europe since 1993. I think the drought comes to an end. Go USA!

Default Ryder Cup: Viktor Hovland Scores a Practice Round Ace on a Par Four.

That rarest of birds, the Albatross. Amazing. Dude gets a one on a par four.
