Sad. A very talented group. Great harmonies.I saw them in concert in NYC, along with Janis Ian. I can't remember who opened for whom, but it was a fine evening of music.

Agreed. ^ They were never considered cutting edge, but they were very talented. I had all of their 45s as a teenager. They made great pop records, and had their own sound.

I never bought any Association records, but I enjoyed their hits when they’d come on the radio.

Bought all their singles. Bought their greatest hits LP. Still remember the day when I heard what I think was their last try for a Top 40 hit while I was driving somewhere, and thought “wow that’s not as good as…” But I can still hear their hits, in that internal jukebox of memories a person of a certain age will have accumulated. All from before I started to play the guitar (a late bloomer and slow learner).
