This may be better posted in the Electric Guitars section, so please move it if deemed appropriate.
KLŌS, the manufacturer of my carbon fiber "mini-dred" travel guitar has announced the pending release of carbon fiber necks and pickguards for Fender guitars, including the Stratocaster, Telecaster and Jazzmaster. The project is currently at the Kickstarter stage (which is how I got my guitar) so the price is nearly half off, although deliveries won't begin until early 2024. https://klosguitars.com/products/carbon-neck-upgrade ![]()

I’ve got an older Strat that is pretty cool, sounds and plays great and is not really affected by changes in humidity. I don’t think rebranding it Klos will enhance it’s value. I only see downside with this.

I suspect you're right. Some people care more for the label on the headstock than on the build or sound quality. It's all too common to see a guitar made with a Warmoth neck and a slab body with the Fender waterslide decal applied to it.
