Congrats on the lovely new guitar. I have a 2007 model without the adjustable bridge. Years ago, I had a '64 J-50 with the adjustable bridge and it sounded great. I also recently played a 60's reissue J-45 with the adjustable bridge and that one sounded great as well. Here's mine:

Absolutely gorgeous J-45!!!

You can buy a conversion kit for that adjustable bridge...

Seriously though that is a great guitar, enjoy it!!

This evening after dinner, I thought, I'm gonna go play my new J45 -- and I think my heartrate went up.
Strange the effect some of these guitars can have on us, isn't it?
