Default NGD (new to me)… 2006 Randy Lucas LD-28

My 2nd acoustic purchase in the last 2 weeks and prior to that it’s was nearly 32 years. The first was an SCSG OM that’s fantastic but as amazing as that OM is, it’s not an M/PW style dread in Brazilian. Couldn’t swing the perfect 1930’s D-28 so I decided to see what I could pull off in the 2nd hand, small builder market. This Randy Lucas came through a dealer from it’s original owner. It’s in great condition and it’s got “that tone” in spades. The 13’s are killing me today but you gotta push through it. No substitute for that medium gauge sound. I don’t think there’s a ton of these out there. I swung the bat on a brief bit of research and I received it today. No regrets.

Looks like a killer guitar--Randy has a way with BRW dreads.

Congrats!

Congrats, I know it is special and looks amazing! I had an LD-28 once upon a time, from a few years earlier than 2006, and it's one of the ones I'd most like to have back!
