I'm taking more pictures tonight. Your luthier has added the fret wire, the tuners and he's working on the pick-up as I write.

This is one handsome guitar.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone - To give a rough estimate of the timeframe we are looking at, I should be on the road to Nashville in 48 hrs and 35 minutes from now, give or take a minute

Tim is putting together things for the show now and pretty much has the guitar wrapped up. Here are some pics of the final stages of construction:

I love the new 510s with the knight head Tim and Mary are using:

Mary informs me that Tim does a mean rendition of House of the Rising Sun:

Another masterpiece finished by Tim and Mary:

Tim is taking some studio shots and I will eventually post some of the finished product - this whole process just flew by and was even more enjoyable than I anticipated...also, I did have Tim install the full version Anthem in this guitar for those who may be curious about the volume/blend control in the soundhole.

It is a great looking guitar, but it makes me a little concerned to see the knight heads looking like they spent the evening in the local drinking establishment.

Looks great.

Tim, have you built alot of multi-scales? Don't know if I've seen one from you on the forum before.

Best,
Humberto

Hi Humberto,
No, I have only built a few multi-scale guitars to date. I have a few more orders on the books so you can expect to see more in the future. Having said that though they are less requested (from us) than standard parallel scale lengths. We are in Nashville now and two players test drove this guitar tonight and neither even noticed the multi-scale until after we pointed it afterward out so I can only assume that the feel is quite transparent to the player.

Hi Rod,

Thanks for the kind compliment.

Ummm, probably not ;( I am just not the smiley photogenic kind of guy. I am the hermit who is forced out of the cave upon occasions where as Mary is the bubbly people person of the duo. You know the old saying... Opposites attract?

Nathan,

That is a great looking guitar - nice idea for the headstock and cool the way the rosette echos it. Since this is a new body style for Tim, I'm anxious to read your report on its sound.

Thanks for all your wonderful compliments. We just got home abut two hours ago. Tim's asleep already, but the kids and I are wide awake. Aw, the wonders of a good pumpkin spice coffee.

Nathan,
It was wonderful to meet you and Laura in Nashville. Your guitar was considered a success for those who usually view dreadnaughts as their pick of the trade. It was fun to listen to the many comments.

Tim and I look forward to making the next multi-scale guitar. Hmmm, I think Kurt has that on his list. I don't have the paper work in front of me.

Now Nathan has his black and red McKnight Guitar shirts. He will be ready for the McJam next year if he can squeeze that into his schedule.
