I think I've picked three fantastic Luthiers (and of course one artistic advisor and design coordinator) to build my three dream guitars ...

The Dream Team: Cornerstone, Bashkin, McKnight !!!:

That would be great Mike. We haven't selected the Adi yet but the Cocobolo is there (Roy Clarke's piece)

I will check it out and send you some pictures. I will hopefully take a trip down there sometime in November.

Can't wait to see the other two started. Wenge has always been one of my favorite woods to look at...never played it (though from the clips on the McKnight website I love the raw sound). Thanks for sharing!

A man cannot live on bread alone... three guitars are really when you get down to it, a necessity.

Ervin Somogyi is a big fan of wenge (i understand it is pronounced Wen-gay). I am sure if Tim said so too, I would believe it. Tim is as straight of a shooter as they come I think.

Lol!! I remember when you were considering that first build and finally settled on Peter. Then in rapid succession you locked in the Bashkin and McKnight... yup, you've got the bug

I think you are partly to blame Hen...

I think Keith (cpabolting) is also to blame for the other part, for posting all those Olson threads and pics.

And of course it was reading LJ waxing lyrical about Bashkin that led me down that path.

But, as they say: He who hesitates ... is last in the build schedule!!!!

Actually while I am still in total denial that I have any form of "bug" or GAS at all, it is really as a result of a realignment of my guitar focus (well, it sounds rational enough to me)

I used to own 5 acoustics (now down to the Morgan OM and Martin D-35 which will be sold when the Cornerstone arrives) and a number of electrics: 2 x Strats, 1 x Baja Tele, 1xPRS McCarty, Tom Anderson Classic, and a few good amps etc. A while ago I decided to change focus to primarily acoustic for a number of reasons, and now only have a Strat which I hardly play anymore. So in essence I will have fewer guitars in the end.

The amazing thing is that I would never have even been exposed to this wonderful world if it wasn't for the AGF.

What a great place and great people!

Can I quote you on that Keith ... it may just help?

Actually, my wife is as excited as I am about these builds and follows the pics and correspondence with me so it is great - I am truly blessed !

(Married 28 years today so clearly the guitars are not an issue)

JR's vision really has developed into a great community of brothers.

Long live AGF and God bless the mods and members who "live" here.
