Taylor GS Mini pickup question
I am looking to buy a Taylor GS Mini. I notice you can get them with an ES2 or an ES-B system (which has a small barndoor instead of three knobs). Are the other components the same besides the controls on the guitar?

The pickup is the same. The preamps are different. If you look around the Internet you can find that the ES-B preamp is a standard product relabeled for several different guitar manufacturers. You trade off separate bass/treble controls (ES2) for an integrated tuner (ES-B). If was for me, I would take the ES-B as there are bass/middle/treble controls on my floor pedals, mixers, and amps.

I have the Taylor GS Mini-e Koa with ES2 and it sounds really good and full through a PA, so much so you could use it in a pinch, as is, for professional gigs. I have no experience with the ES-B system.
